Bring on the sunshine, I mean sunflowers! Bright and beautiful and they come in all sizes to please the masses. Sometimes you find them in a big field and sometimes in a backyard garden. Wherever you find them, they are sure to bring a smile to your face!
Whether you are in a big city or small town shine brightly to light up someone's day. Stay beautiful, big or small, short or tall, stay true to yourself, there's no one else like you. Be the sunflower and bring on the sunshine!!

Weathering the Storms- Michigan Lighthouses

Lighthouses, they stand majestically tall for all to see, their light shines brightly on the darkest of days and they are a beacon of hope to the wayward ships and boats, searching for land on the stormiest of nights.
I love searching out the Lighthouses of Michigan, to capture their nostalgic beauty that have weathered the test of time. There is a story behind each and every one of them waiting to be told by their keepers. Set out and search for one of these beautiful landmarks, explore their history and capture their spirit!

Beauty of the Butterfly

 The butterfly, in my eyes are one of the purest forms of natures true beauty. They fly without fear and flutter their wings in search of a flower to land gently and gracefully on its petals. Their markings are both colorful and pleasing to the eye to behold. The butterfly, reminds us to let our spirits soar to new heights, to gently care for others and to spread beauty to this world wherever we land...

For the Love of Birding

Birding photography is not for the faint at heart...but it can be rewarding. Either you have to sit still for hours on end hoping for the perfect shot or sometimes you just get lucky. It can be frustrating, especially when you finally locate the bird with your camera and just as you get it into focus...bam they fly away! but every once in awhile you get a bird that just seems to love having its photo taken and you say, "Thank you".
Sometimes it's best to just sit back and watch them fly, perch high in the tree and listen to their songs...no photo needed to enjoy the beauty in nature.
